Sacred Heart Elementary School invites you to attend our Open House on Sunday, January 28th, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. There will also be a Tardeada from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm with free food, music, and game booths. Come learn about the school and have a great time!
Next weekend, the Together in Mission annual appeal will launch. This is a great opportunity to put your love into action. At every Mass we will hear from an insightful speaker that will tell us about the importance of sharing our gifts with others. We are in this together-the mission of helping our fellow brothers and sisters and we are all asked to share the light of Christ with others. For those of you that have made gifts in the past, be on the lookout for a special mailing from our Archdiocesan leaders asking you to renew your gift.
Please mail in your gift directly to the Together in Mission office to ensure that your counted among those that have answered this vital call. Our parish has been tasked with raising YOUR PARISH GOAL I am confident that each of you will prayerfully consider sharing the abundant gifts that God has shared with each of us.
Mini-fiesta Tardeada will launch Catholic Schools Week at Sacred Heart Elementary School, Sunday, January 29th, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Join us for the FUN! All are invited to the Annual Procession in Honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe at 11:00 a.m., corner of Cesar Chavez (next to the 710Freeway). The mile long procession will end at East Los Angeles College Stadium. There will be Aztec dancers, mariachis and musical bands will also process from the corner of Cesar Chavez and Ford Street to East Los Angeles College, where Archbishop José Gomez will preside the 1:00 p.m. Mass, concelebrated by the auxiliary bishops of L.A. and other clergy members.
Please join us on Thursday, November 27th to Celebrate our Annual Thanksgiving Day with a bilingual Mass at 10:00 a.m. Thereafter, we will have a FREE Thanksgiving Luncheon in the parish hall for all who would like to join us! For those who are cooking turkeys, please remember to bring all turkeys on the 24th by 8:00 am.
